Hi,

I'm looking for a good mid tower case, with a good cooling system, good number of fans, 5 ports (USB 3.0 preferably and at least one for headphones) and is short (I only have so much space). Any suggestions?

My List of suggested cases:

CM Haf 912
CM Storm
NZXT phantom 410
Apevia-X dreamer4/cruiser3

EDIT: NZXT Source
Corsair 500r

Solution
Yes, and if anything you can always add a PCIe USB 3.0 card if you absolutely need it.

But as far as cooling and cable management go, the HAF912 is a solid choice.

I would recommend the HAF 912. I've had mine for 3 years and I love it. I use two 200mm fans (front intake and top exhaust) and one 120mm side intake. I have the older version with USB 2.0 on the front but I believe there is an updated case with 3.0 ports.

The case has awesome cooling and cable management with plenty of tiedowns behind the motherboard. Also, the cables going to the front panel are plenty long so you can route them behind everything.

On mine I've also modded it and completely removed the lower HDD cage for increased airflow. I just used a 3.5 to 5.25 adapter to install my HDD under my DVD.

I've heard good reviews on this case, but I question the credibility of there being a USB 3.0 Case, which is why I'm conflicted on getting this case. Also, I'm going to be using audio and wired keyboard and mouse, and I don't think 3 ports (i thinks that's how many) will cut it if I need another port. Glad to hear your experience

True. I'm trying to be price efficient. But does a Source still beat it in terms of efficiency (The USB 3.0 version)

The 500r is bigger and has a handful more fan mounts, so I would say no. The Source doesn't have any mounts for 200mm fans which I find to be great in terms of CFM and noise level.

If you can budget it, the 500r is probably what you are looking for.

HAF 912 w/ USB 3.0 vs 500R
I'll probably go with HAF, since it's $60 w/o MIR's
Will it work?
