So, a while back I put together a computer. My psu, the XFX P1-650X-XXB9 worked beautifully and quietly until around 3 days ago (about 2 months after I put it together). Recently, it has sounded like its fan was on full tilt until I turned my pc off and back on a few times. Now, it is not terribly loud but is definitely more audible than before. Should I get a rma or am I just being finicky? Thanks in advance to all of the kind people who helped me.

I think they probably will. I can't be sure of course but I have only heard good things about XFX customer support. Contact them directly to be sure. And good luck! :)

If you are having fan issues I would RMA it for sure. That is not a problem that is going to get better on its own.

That model does have the hybrid fan mode. It sounds like something might have failed with that.

Alright Thankyou So Much! Oh yeah!, do you remember where you got the info about the hybrid fan because I checked my manual and box and xfx site and there was not even a mention of the fan besides that it was quiet.

I just googled the model number and went to it's newegg page here:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817207022

Hybrid fan mode just leaves the fan off when it's not needed and turns it on when it gets warm. All XFX power supplies are made by Seasonic and Seasonic uses this feature on most of their newer power supplies.

Seasonic is the best power supply manufacturer by the way and by extension all XFX units are excellent. But even the best units can have problems sometimes. That's what the warranty is for!
