Hey. Im new here, been reading the forums for years, but finally decided to join it^^

I am getting a pc in a few days but some of my friends have told me that the PSU i have bought is not good enough, others said that it's fine.

The build will be this:

Corsair CX500 V2 PSU

Asrock Z77 Pro4
Intel i5-3470
Asus GTX 660 TI
16gb Corsair Vengeance ddr3 ram, running @ 1600mhz

Beside that i have 1 Corsair Force GT SDD, a 500gb Seagate barracuda storage drive and a cd/dvd reader/burner.

Hoping for some friendly help. Thanks for reading.

You'll be fine. It's a CX from Corsair which is the bottom/budget line. So not the flashiest or the best, but not a garbage PSU either. Others will come in and tell you that its junk and shouldn't be used. I disagree. Your total draw will be somewhere around 250W, so you won't be stressing it all.

Thank you very much. I do plan to be gaming in battlefield 4 and so on though. But if you say that i will only use around 250W then i am very happy. That's only around half the potential of the PSU then.
