I'm not having any luck installing this video card into the Dell. I replaced the stock power supply with a beefier one that has the video card plug. I've tried to uninstall all of the video drivers. Same result. It stops during boot and displays stuff that I can't read, because a lot if it isn't visible. Is there a compatibility issue? Will this card even work in this machine? Thank you for your help.

System info:
E2140 Core 2 processor
1.60 ghz
800 MHz FSB
(Soon will have:
Q6600 Core 2 Quad Core
2.40 ghz)
4 gb DDR2 800 MHz
Integrated Intel Q35 Express chipset video
430 watt Power Supply with Video power plug
Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit
Not a gamer, but do use for TV and movies.

If you are moving from integrated video to a discrete card, you really didn't have to uninstall the gfx driver for the integrated graphics. You simply needed to install the card, move the monitor's cable from the integrated port to the card, and then install the driver for it after booting to windows.
One thing to be aware of. On some of those older Dells, you had to enter BIOS and manually change the graphics display from integrated to the PCIe slot to be recognized. But I don't know if that pertains to your model or not.
