Hello all,

I've recently built my first pc and have everything up and running perfectly. The only problem is, I do not currently have a network connection.

I have a Rosewill wireless N PCI-E adapter RNX-N250PCe and after I install it into my Asus Sabertooth x79 motherboard and start up my computer, it gets stuck at the "starting windows" screen. My GTX 770 video card is blocking the PCIEX1 slots just below the PCIEX16 slot that my video card is in, so I tried putting it into the available PCI slot (even though the wireless network card is smaller, I saw on this forum that it is fine to put it into the larger PCI slot.

Does anyone have any remedies for this? I'd like to get my wireless network up and running...

Thanks!

Need to select it, say yo want to join and enter the password or security code for router/modem, alternatively, if the router hasa WPS button, on the computer you can select connect automatically then push the button and it just connect or may ask for the SSID or password (there should be a SSID code on a label on the router/modem

Yes I tried installing the drivers and that didn't seem to do anything. Is there nothing that needs to be setup enable / disabled in bios (specifically with the PCI configuration)?
I've actually picked up a USB adapter as well, and have been spending the afternoon trying to get that to work, but since I've failed to do so, I thought I'd give the card another shot. Maybe you can help me with the USB adapter...
I bought a D-link dwa-171 wireless AC dual band USB adapter and followed the instructions, installed the drivers, and am unable to connect to the inernet. It detects my network and shows that it is functioning properly but it displays a red 'x' over the wifi signal and says no connection. I have very little experience with setting up wireless networks on windows, so is there something in the settings that needs to be adjusted? Whether the settings on my computer, or the settings on my router?

Yes I selected the network from the list and entered the password. I even tried going into the Thomson settings and removing the password so that it could just connect openly, but it was still having problems.
The router unfortunately doesn't have a WPS button, so I wasn't able to connect that way either
