I've been reading quite a bit and I've come to the conclusion with my Dell Vostro 420, is that as long as I have enough PS wattage and my Motherboard has Express capability (which it does 2.0) also then if money isn't an issue, the sky's nearly the limit with acquiring a newer graphics card. I saw where a guy was going to put a GF 9800GT into his Dell vostro 420, assuming, well we know about assuming, anyway. If he had an express Motherboard and a bigger PS it should work right? you tell me. Thank's

The issue is also with bottlenecking, so if that machine has an older and weaker CPU, it'll hold any modern graphics card back. Having a look around your CPU should be the E8400 (correct me if I'm wrong), the best card that would work without a big bottleneck would probably be something like a 7770. You'd need a new PSU for that though. With the current 300W PSU that you have, the 6670 would probably be the only worthwhile recommendation , the GDDR5 version should be on par with a 9800, just without the power requirements and that it supports Dx11.
