Recently I switched from an AMD FX8350 to an Intel 4770k. I have a SSD drive that has Windows 7 on it and an normal 1 TB HDD that has a version of windows 7 on it that I used to use before I got my SSD, as well as I am using it for storage of my games and other various things while I was using my AMD CPU and I was using my AMD CPU when I put everything on it. However since the switch everytime I access my HDD my computer works for 5-10 minutes and then it freezes and I have to restart it. However when I don't access it my computer runs fine. So should I wipe the HDD and just reinstall all my programs and games on, or is there something I am missing to make it work?

I suggest reinstalling Windows from the scratch, switching CPU also means switching Motherboard so you probably have some conflicting driver issues and such.

I also had all kinds of crap going on when I upgraded my CPU and MB, so I just nuked Widows and started from a scratch and all is cool.
