ok, so i am from india and had i budget of 50000-55000 rupees. so i came up with this build:
mobo:as rock h77 pro 4 mvp
CPU:intel I5 3570
GPU:Asus GTX 660
PSU:Corsair vs650 650 watt
harddisk- 500gb
Ram-Corsair vegeance 4gb *2
This is my first build so i am not so confident about it and also i am new to the gaming world so i would really appreciate if you could suggest some improvements.i do not want to overclock and i prefer Nvidia over amd because of the Physx.
Thank in advance,
Jjain

Solution

NO, do not get an i7. There is no benefit to an i7 for games. It will perform the same as an i5. He needs a better GPU.

If you not going to overclock pick a mobo with chipset b75,is more cheap, and you dont need this Power Supply for this rig...and pick a gtx 650 ti boost instead 660,is more cheap and is almost same perfomance

Nice choices but i would think twice before going cheaper 70$ and in 1 year i cant run the next gen games. with high settings.

Change the processor to an AMD FX-6300 6 core CPU 3.5 Ghz - http://www.flipkart.com/amd-3-5-am3-fx-6-core-fx-6300-fd6300wmhkbox-processor/p/itmdz2whghfbfxnw?pid=PSRDHYYVZJVED3DR&otracker=from-search&srno=t_1&query=FX+6300&ref=26cf98be-2646-482a-8aca-b4556926a9ef
You will save around 7000 bucks (If you are buying from flipkart)

Then get the ZOTAC NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 AMP Edition 2 GB Graphics Card with the money you saved - http://www.flipkart.com/zotac-nvidia-geforce-gtx-760-amp-2-gb-graphics-card/p/itmdmtcnb5gxze6a?pid=GRCDMTCCBURFHUTZ&otracker=from-search&srno=t_103&query=Nvidia&ref=94cae96f-f3ea-49e0-8352-39fcc3e4a0da#read-reviews

Other than that its a pretty good build. Remember that games are basically dependent more on the graphics card than the processor.

This guy knows what he is talking about. Listen to this advice. An fx-6300 and a gtx760 will BLOW AWAY an i5 and gtx660 in any game.

Oki lit me put this in the right way CPU is the brain of the PC and i7 got better Hyperthreading than i5 which is make it away better for the Computer to read the game and FASTER and you saying i5 same as i7 for gaming are you serious if so please correct me, Even when you go for high end gaming PC they use I7 because it is the best CPU.

No, you are 100% wrong. First of an an i5 has NO hyperthreading. Second of all, games use 20% CPU power and 80% GPU power. All the CPU needs to do it keep up with the GPU. Third, Games DO NOT use hyperthreading. An i5 will perform EXACTLY the same in games as an i7. Fourth, no high end gaming PCs use i5s to give more money to the GPU. Even a $1500 rig should have an i5 not an i7 if it is meant for gaming.

For example an i7+gtx660 will be beaten in FPS in games EVERY TIME by an fx-6300 and a gtx760.

no man,a I7 is going make diference in a REAL high end card,like titan,7990...I7 +GTX 760 is the same as I5 +GTX 760

Thanks for the information i thought Hyperthreading used for running the game, and yeah i know i5 dosent have Hyperthreading Thanks for the information.

Actually an i7 even then will not make a difference. You would need 2 POWERFUL cards in SLI to have an difference at all. I'm talking 2 titans or something like that.

You are welcome. Hyperthreadding is not used in games. If you have an i7, some games will run BETTER if you disable hyperthreading (making the CPU an i5). World of warcraft is a prime example of this.

Dude, this guy is building a GAMING pc, Games are focused on the graphics card. Hes not building a computer for rendering lol!
