I have an msi 890 GXM G-65 motherboard. And the CPU I was using was an amd phenom ii x4 965. I just want to know if I can upgrade the CPU to the same only the black edition. Would that be compatible with my motherboard?

Is this an oem sysyem or a custom build. If its OEM, the bios very likely will not have the option for you to change the multuplier even if you buya unlocked cpu. You also wont be able to adjust voltage, so even if can change the multiplier, you may not go very far at all before it becomes unstable. Just some things to consider before spending money. Personally (and I have a 965 BE in the closet somewhere), its not worth spending the money anyway, as others have pointed out.
