File location unavailable

Hi there,
I recently backed my files up onto a memory card as it was all I had available at the time. My laptop crashed and it has now been formatted. Before the format was done, I checked that the files had definitely saved to my card and they had. Now after the format, I get a message saying
C:\filename...refers to a location that is unavailable etc etc.
What do I do?? My whole work life is on here :/

Thank you. I quite possibly have done! :O How stupid of me!

How do I do this? Or do I need to source someone to do that for me? Is this the only option?

Thank you. All I have done is inserted the memory card to try to access my data/files and I get the message I wrote up in my initial post.

Nothing else has been re-installed yet. So I shall take it somewhere then as you say and hope they can help.

I could kick myself! Such a rookie mistake! Thank you again. I'm worried no one will be able to read anything after format but fingers crossed!
