Best am3+ motherboard for overclocking an AMD FX-8350

Hi guys.... I would like to find the best motherboard for overclocking and AMD FX-8350 . The motherboard must have 4-6 3.0 USB ports as well as 2-4 2.0 USB ports. I do not have any specific budget. I just want the best motherboard for my gaming PC.

This one is great but how about this link.... please check and help me between these two MOBO because I think ASUS is a bit costlier than ASROCK. However , I don't have much knowledge about MOBO and PC hardware , so I will go with your final opinion.

Yes, it will work on both. The ASUS one is definately better. I had a lot of issues with my ASRock mobo, and from what my friends tell me and reviews, ASUS makes the best products. This mobo is literally the best AM3+ socket mobo you can get!

Yes.... I will agree with you. I just read a few articles about ASRock mobo 3.0 ports. They actually didn't work at all. It had to be updated kind of something...... So ASUS is ON !!!
Will the USB 3.0 work properly or I will have to download the drivers or update the BIOS or something like that ???

After u build ur pc and have finished installing OS, you log in and the first thing you should do is insert your Motherboard Driver CD that came with ur mobo. Without installing that u wont be able to use internet. So after u do that you can download ur latest drivers and stuff :)

Yes it will work! However, if your looking to just overclock your CPU, and that Multi-GPU & O.C. DRAM is not important, then ASRock is way to go! 1-2way SLI at 16x/8x!
However if 3-way SLI/X is important, & upto 32GB & upto 2400Mhz DRAM, the ASUS Crosshair V Formula Z is the board of boards!!! If RAM isn't a focus either but GPU is, then I recommend ASUS Sabretooth FX990! Hands down! No further questions. lol both will handle the FX-8350, I have had the CPU chip for quit sometime & have since upgraded to the 9590! My only caution & recommendation is going for ASUS MoBo & a 1000w PSU minimum of 80+ Silver for safe overclocking, & a well ventilated case to protect your investment

First of all... GREAT MOBO.... but there is a slight change of plan... now i am planning to buy fx-9590 . so will itthe motherboard work on it ??

As far as i can tell it should. Both have the AM3+ chipset and the ASUS mobo supports them. I want to buy the fx9590 aswell but there is a big hole in my pocket :)

IM JUST SAYIN, I have the ASROCK mobo extreme 9, and I have had nothing but problems with the USB 3.0. They DONT work!!
So I spent $170 dollars on a brand new mobo, and it will not work with my ext usb 3.0 hdd??? Thats bull, I was gonna let it go, cause it is not THAT big of a deal, the usb 2.0 works, but it just kept EATING at me, so I have decided to go with the ASUS formula-z, I know its more expensive, and I will be losing money when I re-sell the ASROCK board, but I dont care.
Ive already got enough of my hard earned money into this computer for it not to work PERFECTLY...Am I right:??

Now with that said, the ASROCK board works fine, The UEFI only has a dropdown menu for overclocking, so you cant fine tune it.
But it does overclock well, I have my 8350 running at 4.7 and I havent even touched the stock voltage.

Again IM JUST SAYIN.

I would think about Asus, If you have a warr. problem with it they will make you send it back to them and you will get a refurb. board in return. And you have to wait 7 to 10 working days the the board so your system will be down for at least 3 weeks. Thier website says 3 year warr. on parts and labor but they will not pay to have the board removed or reinstall and of course the shipping is on you.
I`l never buy another from them.
That`s what happened to me. By the way my Motherboard is only 6mos. old. I asked them because I`m in HVAC if their furnace went down in warr. and I told them that I would have to send their part out to be repaired it would be 7 to 10 working days to get their system back on line how would they like that?
Not a Good Company to deal with.
Just my two cents worth.

Hi. I have just come to ask this exact same question. So it looks like the ASUS board for my sons xmas present then. But I have one question. Are the memory slots far enough out the way so none are blocked by a Noctua NH-U9B CPU cooler? The springs that hold the fans in place. And just to confirm it is a standard size. I dont need a bigger case.
