Hi, i have a Toshiba laptop A200 Satellite, it was shipped with Viasta Home, it packed up this yr so i put Vista Ultimate sp1 on it, it has been really unstable and died a couple of weeks ago . I managed to rescue it but i decided to put Xp Pro which i did not realise was a 64 bt. I do not have any network adapter on it and i cannot access the device manager it is just blank. Appreciate some advice as what to do next. Thanks.
Definitely get rid of 64 bit xp. That is the issue with it. Device drivers are tough to locate, if there ever were any in the first place. XP 64 was not widely used. Vista is nearly as bad its so buggy. It might be time to just retire the laptop.
Took your advice and formatted the drives, i lost my D drive but used Hirens boot cd to get it back, so i can now install a new OS.
Jitpublisher you a right that my laptop is long in the tooth and i probably time to replace it, but managed to get the old gal going again for now thanks for the advice.
