I have been using a Transcend Hard Drive for the past month now. But suddenly, my laptop (using Windows 7) has stopped recognizing the device. It is connected by USB3.0 and I haven't made any changes in the system. I cannot format the disk as I have a lot of important information stored in it. Can someone please tell me how to make my laptop recognize it?

Hello... Control Panel, Device Manager, Universal Serial Bus controllers, Verify the USB 3.0 Root Hub and Host Controller are listed and are happy.
