There seems to be at least two micro-usb connectors.
Types:
(1) Standard type: rectangular shape with two bottom corners cut off (front view)
(2) Another type: rectangular shape with only one bottom corner cut off (front view).
My HTC Droid-Eris phone has the type 2 above for charging and/or connecting to pc usb port.
designation? It's cable has type 1 on one end and type 2 on the other end?
It is not a mini usb connector
Who makes such a cable? Adaptors?
Thanks

Hello... here you can properly identify and name the USB connector you are using and needing... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB ... google type and look for possible purchase points and prices.

I looked there before and found no such plug. It's nor Type A or B, Mini A or B, Micro A or B.
Look at the micro B. It looks like the left shape. My connector
looks like the right shape (one corner cut off).

It's not shown in that article.

Hello... well then it is a OEM type connector... meaning you need to go to MFG'r of the device you are wanting to connect to, and get what you want, at their price point... until someone from China starts copying it... check EBAY search for such item.

I have my solution. The cable for my Moto DroidX is usb to microusb. The cable for the HTC Eris is a ExtUsb to usb.

HTC ExtUSBâ„¢ is 11-pin USB connector used on older HTC phones.
