Hi all,

I already bought the above card and installed it in my system. The issue is, when the card is installed, there is no display on my monitor and all my other devices like keyboard and mouse malfunction.

Checked on the card, it's running without any anomalies. I removed the card and installed my previous card which is hd5770 the system can boot up and all running as normal.

Can anyone explain on the issue?
Is it anything related with my mobo bios? Do R9 280X required new mobo Bios?
Is it anything related with the PSU?

My system:
CPU: Intel Core i7 3770
Mobo: Gigabyte Z77M-D3H rev 1.0
RAM: 32GB Kingston HyperX 1600Mhz DDR3
CPU Cooler: Thermaltake Water Pro 3.0
PSU: Tested on 2 PSU which is CM GX II Pro 759W and CM Thunder M 620W

Thanks!

I also got the card last week. I tried all day monday to get it to work but mine also wouldn't POST. I kept getting a debug code of 97. I RMA'd it back to a seller on Amazon, hoping to a replacement from them. We shouldn't have to update our bios to be able to run the card. I have an AMD FX 8120 with a MSI 990FX MB.

well i guess if you tried it on a new board and it works, it must be the bios. Hope mine was actually bad otherwise the RMA dept is just going to ship my card back and I will update my bios, we shouldn't need bios updates to be able to get the card to POST though because i can't recall people that had 7970's saying they had to update bios to get the card to work.

It fixed now, the issue is related with the power and the bios. I need to updated the bios and pull off one of the card in my pci slot which is my sound card. After it being pull out, the system run normally. Thanks for your response. :)
