I have the above mentioned GPU and am generally pleased with the performance. I downloaded furmark and at 1920x1080 full screen 8xAA I am getting 16 fps. Using precision X and a few vague guides, I was able to get only 1-2 fps more out before it got glitchy. My reason for overclocking is to take advantage of the ability and squeeze a few more fps out of games.

I'm looking for a guide that offers steps to get stable overclocking for this specific card, or just comes right out and says something to the effect "use these settings and back off on this setting if it gets unstable."

Does such a beast exist? Thanks.

Generally speaking, you'll boost the core clock by 10-15mhz every go around. So say your GPU is clocked at 900mhz right now, you would raise it to 915, run some benches/stress tests to make sure that the card is stable at the new core clock. Continue to repeat the process until your GPU starts artificing or failing, then back off ~15mhz. If your GPU allows unlocked voltages, you can also raise the voltages slightly (not sure by how much, someone else should be able to fill you in) and continue with the process.
