Whats the difference amd athlon

I have this installed in my desktop a old pc of course http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103031 (2.0 ghz)

and i am buying this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103035 (just for 9$) but what in the world is the difference i dont get it because why would they have both now doesnt make sence there the same thing with 2 different motherboards can someone explain

The Venice is a 67W processor that requires an AMD 939 socket, and the Orleans is a 59W processor that requires an AMD AM2 socket.

but when i look it tells me the venice is a 754 socket and not the one u stated like i bought this of ebay so in the description is says 754

Click on the "specifications" tab on the link I posted. It will show you the proper socket for each CPU. Either you listed the incorrect processors or the ebay info was wrong.
