Hi guys I have recently decided to attempt to build my own gaming pc rather than purchasing one of the new consoles coming out. I am new to this forum and do not know much about the building process of a pc. I want to build a powerful pc to be able to run BF4 and other new games coming out but I don't want to spend a fortune. I want to keep it under $1,000 if possible. Any help or advice for a new first time builder would be greatly appreciated. All I have right now is a monitor and that's about it. Thanks guys!

I guess I could say, don't get overwhelmed. I've built a few systems. Lay your parts out, plan your build and TAKE YOUR TIME. There is absolutely no need to rush. If you have any questions, the internet is your best friend.

Seriously though, take your time. You'll be much more rewarded for your build, and more likely to succeed, if you're patient.
