just built my first pc and I am trying to install my video card driver, and it says my computer doesn't meet the minimum req's. this makes no sence because as far as i am concerned, its a worthy PC.
RAM - Corsair Vengence Pro 16 gb DDR3
GC - Asus GTX 660 Direct CU II
Power - Corsair RM-750
MOBO - P8Z68-V pro
PCU - i5-4670k 3.4 GHz
OS - Windows 8
dont think anything else in there would effect the minnimum req's besides space, which i have 2.25TB of. Any suggestions?
Guess i should also state that i have installed my GC from the disc they gave me, should i be worried about the GC driver for the motherboard?

Have you tried downloading the drivers directly from nVidia? I use them for my 2 660Ti cards, and they work great. Your system should easily support that video card, so I see no reason why it's giving you this error except that the drivers on the disk are possibly corrupt somehow. If you want to use the Asus specific drivers, you may try downloading them from the Asus site instead of using nVidia's drivers.

i guess my next question would be, if i already have drivers installed would i have to uninstall them before installing the nvidea drivers?

It's probably best to uninstall them so that the nVidia drivers aren't affected by them in some way. You shouldn't HAVE to uninstall them, but I recommend doing it just to be safe.

It could be windows 8 too. Asus vertually says that there is no guarantee that win8 will be OK with that MB. While looking at your MB web page I found this about win8.

You are probably better off with win7. I think you will like win7 better anyways.
