Hey everyone.

So I physically removed my old amd video card and installed an nvidia one without realizing I should have uninstalled the old drivers. In an attempt to fix this, I have re-installed my original graphics card but am no longer getting a signal sent to my monitor. As far as I know there is no integrated graphics on my motherboard that I could use to access and uninstall the drivers.

The computer sounds normal when it starts up, and everything is turning on inside. I'd love to get the old card working again so I can try moving forward with the new card installation, but I have no idea why the computer will no longer accept the card that it originally came with.

You shouldn't have to uninstall your old graphics card drivers to get the new card running. After you put in your new card and get your PC running you could find and delete the AMD card drivers.

Hi, and thanks for the response. Turns out I'm a big dumbhead and accidentally unplugged the motherboard from the power supply while I was switching things. Since then I've found that in order to get the gtx660 video card working with a Windows 8 system, it's necessary that safeboot is toggled off from the BIOS. There are several other good threads about this issue on the web if you are having signal issues with this card.
