Hello everyone,

I recently bought my geforce, but I cannot connect it to my cooler master (850W).

The geforce has 2 holes, 1 for 6 pins and 1 for 8 pins. I know I ahve to supply power through putting PCI cables in these holes... However due to the fact my someone has stolen my Coolermastercables, or maybe it's just thrown away, I don't have any cables for it anymore... I only have been given a 8 pin to 6 pin converter...

As I've been looking alot on the internet I can only find cables with pins on one side and holes on the other side... However I have 6 pin HOLES in my coolermaster and HOLES aswell in my GEFORCE Gpu... I can't find any with only 6/8 pins on both sides.

CAn anyone explain me what I should do? I've lost the cables that came with my coolermaster and I'd have to buy new ones... Is it correct that I need those cables with 2x8/2x6 pins on both sides? Please help I would really appreciate it.

Solution
1. Contact coolermaster to see if you can buy cables from them (not clear on web-site)

2. Do a search on Kijiji or craigslist for someone selling the cables for your specific unit (or the whole psu) / or post an ad that you want to buy a burnt out psu for the cables

3. Refine your search for cables. Pin side of cable is called Male. Hole side is called Female. Use those words in your search. (e.g.: Male to Male 6 pin and 6 pin+2 for coolermaster...)

I'm no expert but that's my two cents worth. Hope it helps
