Hi, I am planning to build my first gamin rig. I just wanna know if A-10 5800K hold back GTX 760 ?
I want to play games such as BF4 and Far Cry 3 and other high end games on high/ultra settings.

Should this 2 bottleneck ? or should I go with Intel Core i7 4770K ? I want to hear the opinion first on AMD before hearing on Intel

Stay away from AMD's fm2 socket if you want to game seriously. If you're looking at a GTX 760, that tells me you want a pretty good gaming PC.

Tell us what your budget is, what you are wanting to do with it(like expectations), and what parts you already have if any.

The A10 and an i7 aren't even in the same realm...an A10 is more like an i3 or weak i5. The A10 will bottleneck the 760, i'd change to an FX-6300 or an i5. There's no reason to get an APU if you're getting a discrete card.

The big problem with the apu is the lack of L3 cache...it will definitely hold back most graphic cards and you would be wasting money getting an apu and buying a graphics card. Did you buy a motherboard yet or are you going to be buying that as well?

I think it's clear that any APU is useless as soon as you put anything like GTX760+ in your rig.

The problem I take with musings about APU usefulness in some cases is that people who come to forum here need assistance quick because they are like hours away from ordering the rig, so I believe the answer should be short and definite, even if it's harsh. Anything less than that and it won't be crystal clear and I'd hate people getting perma-screwed because they misunderstood things.

Which is my point exactly. For OP needs it IS bad.

OP, could you post your budget? This forum is great for helping out on building best value rigs, you just need to give us as much details as you can including what's your spending aims.
