Hi,

For a new PC build I'm doing, I want to know the most efficient storage. For me, its down to:

1. 250GB Samsung 840 SSD + 1TB Seagate HDD
2. 120GB Samsung 840 SSD + 2TB Seagate HDD

I'm looking for a good Performance/storage/price Ratio

120GB Samsung 840 SSD + 2TB Seagate HDD

Use SSD for the OS only.

I'm new. Would it also be OK to put steam games / Other games on the SSD as well?

Yes that will be fine. But then what are you going to do with the HDD?? Don't exhaust your SSD space for no reason.

Depends on how large they are. My meager collection of Steam games take up around 52GB. I would not consider putting those on the SSD.

I was thinking my hard drive was going to be used for files I don't need on the spot. SSD's were where I was going to put any executables for the speed

If Steam is currently taking 100GB, then a 512 GB drive would be indicated, or put them on the HDD.

I'm currently on my old computer, and its taking up 100 GB. That's what I meant. I'll probably put it on my hard drive then
