I plan to purchase either of these in the next 2 weeks

I plan to game at 1080p for all games on ONE monitor, as well as school work over THREE monitors

currently have a Sapphire Radeon 7770 GHZ edition

Currently have a corsair TX-750

CPU: AMD FX-8320
Mobo: Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3
Ram: Crucial ballistix 8GB 1600MHZ
HDD: 2 X 1TB western digital green drives

I will buy from anywhere but i can get the 6950s for 110 a piece on EBAY and the 7950s are dropping in price

I will not over clock

I would rather not spend more money then I have to, and i want to be set for the next 3 or 4 years to game at 1080p, as i am entering college in about 9 months.

I am very partial to AMD graphics

While the 2 x 6950s will be faster than 1 x 7950, the option of adding a 2nd 7950 later is faster yet. And the 7950 will be great for 1080p gaming. Just be sure you use the mDisplay port for one of the monitors with an active adapter if you go with 3 monitors.

if you can wait a little bit the 7970s are dropping in price and that would be way better than 2 6950s...I have a 6970 I was going to crossfire and went and got a HIS 7950 and cant be happier...for 220 see if you can catch a 7970 on sale or with a mail in rebate. I recently spotted a 7950 for 150 on newegg but the price went back up a day or 2 ago...just watch and wait a little bit would be my best advice
