so this is my first time building a computer, i installed my graphics card and when i was looking at the one cable. it had 2 6+2 pci e.

now do i use the single cable that has 2 of the 6+2. or do i have to another cable for 1 each 8pin connector

i hope this makes sense.

Normally you would use the double headed 6/8 pin cable to feed both headers on the card. But it will depend on the quality of the PSU and size of wires. What is the make/model of your PSU?

Nope just use the 6+2 pin. They do that so that you can use the same connect for 6 and 8 pin connectors for video cards. If you need 8 pins you use all 8 pins if you only need 8 you take off the extra 2 and just use the 6. And you have to fill all the power connectors.

That's a good PSU. No problem. You can do it either way you like. 1 cable with 2 x (6/8) pin connectors, or 2 cables and just use one of the 6/8 pin connectors from each cable. Your choice.

I would just use a single cable to keep clutter to a minimum. Save the other cable for when you add a 2nd card (if you ever do).

yea, that was my main concern was if i had to use 2 cables that would increase the clutter. and i didnt want to damage the card by have wrong cabling.
