I built a computer in the end of September. It has been running GREAT, fast, smooth, CPU temps have been staying low even under high load(around 30-60 C), but I opened it up the other day to check up on it, and noticed a bit of blackening on the heat pipes, where they connect to the CPU and to the fins themselves. I am wondering if this is a bad thing, regardless of the fact that I have had no issues, and the CPU temps are fine. I have thought it is just a result of dust and such burning against the heatpipes, as I do have a rather chronically dusty house, but am just trying to play it safe. The CPU: Ivy Bridge Core i5 3570(non-K). The heatsink: XIGMATEK Dark Knight II SD1283 Night Hawk Edition CPU Cooler. Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste was what I chose and applied. Any more info needed for an answer can be provided upon request.

Stay breezy ~~ and God bless!
