Hello guys i need some help! I'm stuck between getting a PS4 or this PC for Christmas http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/ite...
I want to convert to PC gaming but i'm not sure if i should drop this much money on a pc that won't be able to run the next gen games. I don't know to much about computers and any advice will help. (I plan to upgrade it in the future to meet the next gen games demands later on). HELP and thanks!
Any advice on a better PC for the same price or lower would be appreciated! Or a website to browse already built PCs.

If you really don't want to bother with PCs, you can just go for a PS4 since it would be less of a hassle (downside is the online fee you have to pay). You would lose out on the graphical capabilities of the PC, mouse and keyboard and mod support.Yeah PCs arn't cheap but they seem worth the effort. Would this be worth the extra hundred dollars http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/ite...
If not i'm going to ask my computer savy friends about my search because i'm pretty much clueless when it comes to PCs
. Thanks for your advice though much appreciated and any websites on were to look would be awesome

Best solution
Those builds aren't worth the price really, you can ask your friends about what builds they'd recommend to you (just tell them what you're using them for etc.) If you're only gaming with no photoshop/video rendering, stick with an i5.
And yes, the PS4 has an online fee

you can probably have something custom built for you at a local shop for alot cheaper than that. but you are going in the right direction. Really? I didn't know you can do that! Thanks i'll look into that option just i'm trying to stay away from the building your own computer path because i wouldn't have a clue what to do but that seems like a cool idea.

Any specific budget/price range? I can just give you a parts list to look atUhh not really like i said i'm looking for a computer to be able to keep up with the next gen games coming up but i would like to stay under 1000. I wouldn't mind upgrading but a list would be great! anything would actually!

Well gather some friends around and discuss
This machine should play next gen games no problem (with an SSD for quick OS booting and loading programs and games quickly)
note that I'm not the most familiar with the quality of some of these branded parts, so this should be a nice list to start with

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks
CPU: Intel Core i5-4670 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($213.95 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: ASRock B85M-HDS Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($66.97 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($72.00 @ Newegg)
Storage: Sandisk Ultra Plus 256GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($154.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($58.99 @ NCIX US)
Video Card: PowerColor Radeon HD 7970 3GB Video Card ($249.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Antec One ATX Mid Tower Case ($46.24 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 600W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V Power Supply ($31.00 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer ($16.98 @ Outlet PC)
Total: $911.11
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

Wow that's great! I might just go for that any other things part wise i should be looking for? Like cooling or tower wise?

You might need to factor in the cost of Windows 7/8 whichever one you'll use. That build is not for overclocking so you shouldn't really need additional cooling, though you could always get a Hyper 212 EVO CPU cooler to lower the temperature of the CPU. I'm sure your friends can give you better suggestions cooling wise
