My sound was working before but now I cannot hear anything. I had installed Cinnamon but I had to delete it because it messed with my Ubuntu, and now I cannot hear anything.

My sound card is Sound Blaster Recon 3Di, I'm already aware this doesn't support Linux, but I was able to hear sound from my speakers before, I cannot hear anything know. I've already ran through some trouble shooting

Such as

aplay /usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Center.wav

Then

sudo aplay /usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Center.wav

Neither of which played.

Any ideas?

under sudo aplay -l it says I've got 2 cards. So it's recognizing them, but it's let letting me use them. Where do I look for Sound Setting?

Is your link supposed to link back to this thread?

I've installed pavucontrol and it cannot find my cards, but aplay can.

twitch@HIZASHI-M17xR4:~$ sudo aplay -l

I've fixed it!

What I did:

I opened terminal and ran the command "alsamixer"
I pressed f6 to open my cards and chose my Intel
Then I restarted my computer and it fixed it. Thank you very much Skittle!
