Will this CPU work with my Motherboard?

And I want to know if this CPU http://www.amazon.com/AMD-A8-3870K-Graphics-Quad-Core-Processor/dp/B006J420UE/ref=pd_sim_e_10 is compatiable with the motherboard thanks!. (I also plan on picking up a new graphics card Gtx 680 2gb would that work as well?)

Yes to the processor , but no to the video card. That power supply is only 300w and that is not enough for a GTX 680.

400w is still a no, but 700w would be fine.

Which 680 are you going to get? PCI express 3.0? x8? x16?

Make sure your mobo has the proper slot. Usually oem mobos are crap.

Also instead of a A8 3870k, try to find a Athlon 651k. You're not going to be able to overclock on that mobo though.

I recommend selling your HP and starting from scratch.

I dont have very much to work with right now will a Athlon 651k work with my current comp? I also dont overclock at all. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121635 This is the 680 I was looking at. Right now im running Gtc 650 .

Yes the 651k is the same as the 3870k except without the built in graphics. The plus side is it's usually cheaper.
