Issue with cpu voltage on an GA-990XA-UD3

Using an Phenom 2 X6 1100T with everything on auto, the motherboard correctly recognized the cpu as having 1.42v default, but if i changed to manual without altering any values, or simply alter multipliers letting voltages on auto, after a reboot both bios and software showd the cpu voltage as 1.27v. Sometimes the computer seems fine even under stress with that low voltage, and sometimes the computer wont boot with it, returning the values to auto sets the voltage back to 1.42v. This board has a base value that it auto detects from which you add or subtract voltages based on it, so i cannot simply set the default as 1.42v and be done with it for instance.

that was with an ocz 550w psu.

After a while i changed into a FX8350 and a seasonic 760KM psu, and pretty much the same thing happens. it detects as 1.42v, if i change anything after a reboot it detects the 8350 as 1.33v.

IF i simply let everything on auto and do not change anything, the cpu voltage is always 1.42v and completely stable. I have tried 4 different biose´s and am currently using the latest f14b one.

Any clues as to why this behaviour occurs?

Check this out:

Put your LLC to High.

This may help you understand a bit more as well.

Damn, for some reason on these motherboards when you turn off "turbo" (that takes the fx8350 from 4ghz to 4,2ghz) the default vcore drops a ton (from 1.42 to 1.33), for some time i wasnt able to figure out what exactly was causing it, but thanks to you i found it on the second link you gave me. Have been fiddling with it and apparently thats it.

THANKS!

You're welcome! :)
When ever OC'ing the FX-Series, you should always turn off turbo core.
