With the awesome specs on the 290x I want to get 2 in Crossfire for my new pc, but dont want to wait for the after market releases. With the dodgy heating issues on those gpu's, surely there is a nice cooling setup the keep them chilled out.

Any idea? Im a noob in cooling.

To my knowledge there aren't any 290X blocks, so unless you want to get very DIY and manufacture your own blocks you cant water-cool them as of yet. However, its pretty inevitable that they will show up eventually. Get yourself a reference design card (all of them are at this point), stick it in your rig and slap water-cooling on it once blocks become available.

Yup, funnily enough I was just reading through that.....though I did skip a few chunks.

So what your saying is these cards arent rigged for liquid cooling as yet?
