here's my ram: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

my mobo is an asus z77 sabertooth. it suppoerts dual channel.

due to the ram being a quad channel kit, am I not getting the RAMs full effect or yeah?

didn't do research obviously -_- but jw if I should return them or if its doing its job. I used XMP to bring up to 2133mhz.

the 1150/1155 mb have 2 channel ram controller if you llok under your mb ram slots there an a1 and an a0 ram slots the a0 is one bank of two dimms the other banks is another bank with two dimms. the 2011 and other chipset had two quad channel ram slots one bank needed four dimms to run at it max rated speed not two.

So your answer would be...return them or keep them

I'm using the same ram kit with ASUS P8Z77-V mobo. Working fantastic and yes, if you set the XMP to 2133Mhz, u r making full use of it.
