Hello ,I recently finished building a Pc from scratch.I didnt buy all the parts at once.I bought one at a time. After finishing the build it is really letting me down.Low framerates,Lag are the main problems.I tried different video drivers bios new windows. All the of the problems started since i bought an Hd 7870 to replace my GTX 550 ti.
my pc specs: FX 8320 HD7870 500w 80+ PSU 8gb 1333 ram.I use only an hdd.I dont think having an ssd would solve my problems.

I play at 1360x768. I mostly play League of legends Guild Wars dirt showdown Borderlands 2 (planning on BF4 Gta V) Every game runs well for a moment then the framerate drops 20-30 for example in League everything is smooth at 60-65 and the next second 30 or even less Frames

those temps are absolutely normal.. Umm. Wack open some usage monitors (i'm not sure what AMD's have) But i found this doing a quick search.http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMDSystemMonitor.aspx Give it a try and see what the usage is of both the cpu and gnu.

Using Unigine Heaven CPU jumps between 17-30% GPU 98-99% and in guild wars 2 CPU 45-54% GPU 75-79%

Hmm.. Very strange. Well everything seems fine! I would either point at hardware or software i'm mostly leaning towards software right now though. But if you upgraded from AMD to nVidia.. I'll user driver sweeper. Uninstall your GPU. Boot into safe-mode and run driver-sweeper ad get rid of anything AMD related. Then restart and boot into safe-mode and install nVida drivers. (preferably the drivers on the disk which came with it at this stage.) safemode should stop anything from interrupting.. just as a precaution.

I tried everything on the software part even reinstalled windows 2 times. Since the problems started when i got the Hd7870 i tought it was faulty so i sent it back for warranty. They said the gpuw as in perfect condition so they sent it back :|

Hmmm i see. Is it possible that your system is switching to the integrated GPU on your CPU? High FPS=GPU.... Low FPS=Integrated. Try to disable the integrated gnu on your cpu. Might be in AMD's control panel for your GPU

p.s. I didn't realise you are on AMD. Thought you were still on nVidia! sorry

Edit - Also, try disabling your GPU. And see what FPS you get. If it's like 30 or lower like you described it's probably switching to the integrated GPU

EDIT 2.0 - Check the clocks on your GPU when your in game.. also possible that your gpu is lowering the clocks. Even though it's at 100% usage it just can't process fast enough as it should be.. Go into device manager, disable and re-enable your gpu (just remembered because this would happen to me if i had my gpu crash, doing the method above or a restart fixed it)

I tried disabling integrated graphics from catalyst control but couldnt find where so i checked it in the bios and it was disabled.I disabled my GPU and enabled it idle clocks are Core clock 300mhz memory clock 150mhz while in unigine heaven 99%load core clock 683mhz memory clock 730mhz (both growing every second, all the numbers are in avarage) I really hope we can find the problem and fix it.

Hmm okay! well at least we got rid of some variables there.. What's the max clocks of the gpu? Because for example, when mine would crash for whatever reason the clocks would stay at idle no matter what i done to my machine except disable and re-enable or reboot.. It might go up a tiny bit but never to max.

You didn't have this problem with the old card so it must be your new card.

What you would do perhaps.. Is to take screenshots of the statistics you're taking when in game/ unigine as evidence that something is possibly wrong with the card. Have you tried contacting the manufacturer for the card or the retailer you got it from. But i'm guessing you'd rather get it fixed now? Have you got a friends PC you could try the card in?

Do you think a BIOS update could work? It is a newer card after all!

Also read this. http://steamcommunity.com/app/43160/discussions/0/810925580022544879/

Read Solution 2.. Changing the pagefile size, on another forum i found a guy said it worked for him. He had a major drop in FPS within seconds of playing. Try all of them if you can really! Might as well try everything you can, wont hurt anything
