I noticed after installing XP (with SP3) that the standy button is not enabled (greyed out) but shut-down does power off PC. So i thought it was because during install the setup didn't detect my PC as being ACPI which i think it is. I reinstalled XP but this time pressed F5 and set the computer type to "ACPI Multiprocessor PC" (my proc is 3770k). Its showing in device manager as "ACPI Multiprocessor PC" but standby button sill not enabled.. any thoughts on what the solution is?
