FreeNAS server over two routers

So I've been trying to figure this out all week and finally decided to ask people who know a lot more than I do. I recently built a FreeNAS box that I want to use on my home network. I have the NAS box connected to my Verizon router. The only other thing connected to that router is a second router (a TP-Link). All of the computers on my network are connected to the TP-Link. Now I can ping to the Nas box from any computer just fine, as well as access the FreeNAS settings interface through its IP address. What I can't do is see any of the drives on the NAS box in a file explorer window (as in, it doesn't show up under Networks). I'm guessing it's something really simple as far as router configuration settings go, but I'm at a loss. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

The Verizon router does not support the wireless speeds that I am paying them for (a bit ironic, it seems). The option was either to pay Verizon more money for a router or buy my own. So to answer your question, it's primarily just for the wireless.

Thanks, that did the trick and after messing around with it for a week, the server is up and running!
