First, I'd like to start by stating I usually use Nvidia / Intel combinations but I'd like to try both. I know there's ups and downs to both and for learning purposes I'd like to get acquainted to both hardware vendors and their products so please only suggestions that lean towards AMD for this thread :)!

I'm not so money tight as I can spend up to but not exceeding 2500 dollars. I saw the R9 290X and decided its time I try out AMD for a change for the next year.

Please critique the build and give any suggestions to: Improve performance, Improve cooling, provide better cable management space (maybe a different case), and any other ideas or reasons as to why trying AMD out for this coming year is a good / bad idea. I will also be looking at wither to buy a 4k res monitor or stick to my 1080p monitor. (The monitor is a separate budget please don't include.)

Games I Play are as follows:
BF3 (When BF4 comes out I will swap.)
Metro Last light
Crysis 3
Batman Ark City
Elder Scrolls
SWTOR
WoW
League of Legends
And sometimes Skyrim
