Hi,

I am trying to build my first pc for graphics and animation. I use the following programs ...
Sketchbook pro, ZBrush, Blender (probably modo in future).
I plan to use a LCD pen display (purchased separately), So I dont need any input or ouput accessories.
I would like to keep my budget under a $1000, but would be willing to spend more if you think i can get better performance/future proofing to the added amount. I will purchase win7 64 oem separately.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Solution
Since I don't really have the time to research right now, I'm gonna tell you what I would do:

1. Figure out how many threads can be utilized by each program you plan to use.
2. Figure out what CPU instruction sets the programs work best with.
3. Figure out if they utilize the GPU and how intensely.
4. Figure out whether a gaming card would suffice or if a workstation card is necessary.
