Browser session times out

Hi,
I am experiencing the problem that very often now my browser's loading session for any given website would time out before the website manages to load and thus I cannot load any web page. It's not from the browser I think cos I used chrome and IE and the problem appears on both. It's not from the router either (i guess) since no one of the other 5-6 devices hooked up to it are having the same problem. However, when I reset the router, the problem disappears for a while and in a week's time it's back again.

I am clearly connected to the internet, cos skype is connected and shows me online and I can call people and they can call me too. So that works, although there is a lag and delay there too when I try to call someone, but somehow skype's loading session does not time out, unlike my browsers', and eventually does start ringing and does get me into a call.

So what should I tweak in Windows to fix this, please? I'm using Windows 7 x64 SP1; my notebook is HP Pavillion dv7-6b76eo, and the wireless adapter is Inter(R) Centrino(R) Wireless-N 1030.

Any tips would be appreciated! Thanks! :)

I would try a different DNS server to see if that helps. Use 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (the Google public DNSs). To find it go to network control panel, change adapter settings, right click on wireless adapter and select properties, then highlight Internet Protocol Version 4 and then hit properties button. At the bottom of the window that opens change DNS from automatic to the two above and hit OK.

If it doesn't help you can easily change them back.
