Hey everyone. So lately I've been wondering, should I buy a GTX 760 to replace my XFX HD 6850 or should I wait for the 800's to come, and for prices to lower (or maybe a 800 series GPU might just a have sweet spot like the 760)?
I definitely want Nvidia for next-gen, I really want a smooth hackintosh experience. Unless, AMD's prices end up blowing Nvidia's out of the water.
I keep thinking that with "next-gen" games coming out (that is, more VRAM usage for textures from what I've seen so far), I'll need a 3GB GPU at least, for good 1080p gaming.
To be honest I haven't played that much lately, but I will play the next-gen games coming out next year.
By the way, there's no chance for me to Crossfire/SLI, I made the mistake of buying a 120€ motherboard that has x16/x4 only (I thought dual-gpu was too much trouble back when I bought it).
I am saving money for something else, but if I sold my current GPU and bought a new one, the difference wouldn't be that huge. Any input would help.
Thanks in advance.
