my pc has died on nvidia update.

Hi, I'm typing this on my phone, just updated my nvidia driver on my pc - came to restart, the pc's just died. It's powering, but not even the boot screen comes up - totally dead. Do you suppose I'll need to take it into the pc shop for a fix?
Any help appreciated.

Its probably not dead if its powering up, but your video card may have taken a big dump.

You mention needing to take it to a repair shop. do you know how to replace a video card? If not then give a detailed description of your system.

Video card
Mother board
CPU
PSU
Case
RAM

Once that is explained than we can go to the next step of explaining how to replace a video card, or if you have an onboard GPU we can use that to troubleshoot your system.
