I have to keep changing channels

Hello guys, I have a little problem with my wireless connection.

After some time of use, the speed drops dramatically, and the only way to fix this is changing the channel to another random one. That makes the wireless connection fast for a couple hours, and the. I have to change it again. Any idea why? Thanks in advance!

Many devices use the 2.4 ghz frequency used by many wireless networks.

If your hardware supports it I would recommend trying a 5ghz band(dual band can use both at the same time in many cases). at least for now it has much less interference.

Microwave ovens can also cause issues with 2.4hgz wireless devices.

Is your network set to open or you have it password protected. Does anyone use the internet that you know is a internet data hog?

You bring up a great point, unwanted software or someone else leaching from your network can cause this very issue as well.
