I get this error a lot but I just close it and not restart applications, I suspect this error is cause of Vista not using memory as efficient as Windows 7 & 8

Am I right?

Well how much memory do you have, 2GB? If so than yea, vista's probably hogging about half of it. If you don't feel like upgrading you could also check your virtual memory settings to give yourself some more space

We will need to know how much memory you have as well as which version of Vista you are using? 32 or 64 bit?

That's not an 'error'.
Depending on what applications you run, yes, you may actually be running low on memory!

And what might they be? What does Task Manager indicate?

Google Chrome and task manager shows Processes: 83 (no, I will not type all 83), CPU Usage goes up at down like normal (between 18 and 30), Physical Memory: 63%

but on a Windows 7 computer running the same applications (or close to them) task manager shows Processes: 83, CPU Usage goes up at down like normal (between 2 and 30), Physical Memory: 54%

I guess what we're saying is that 3GB is a little slim, Windows 7 is probably better at memory management than Vista is, and depending on what applications you're running, you may well see "Your computer is low on memory"
