Mouse + mousepad suggestion

I've had an older Razer mamba for a while now and I'm not particular to it anymore. I use my mice claw grip and would prefer something less heavy (i use this mamba wired and no battery). So far I think the Corsair M65 looks good, but in the meantime I will continue to read this forum and see if I can find a good option.

As for the mouse pad, I have a small Goliathus (also older) and I like the feel of the control edition. I want a cloth pad that will, for obvious reasons, be smooth...I feel that's redundant to say, but the control goliathus and a steelseries qck that I tried were not smooth with my current mouse. I figure the medium sized goliathus is probably the best way to go.

Some quick suggestions pointing me into the right direction for a mouse would be great, thanks.

I always recommend the logitech G500 and a $1.50 cloth mousepad works best for me. I have tried the $30 gaming mouse pads and they just were not comfortable to me.

Before this mamba I had a $5 mouse and mousepad and it worked just fine (this mamba is excessively heavy and not worth $100). At this point I would disagree though. I'd like a good, woven mousepad that will last a while. I'm stubborn like that, usually I like to buy something more expensive that will last longer. These days, stuff is more expensive and lasts shorter...
