I have the Samsung Notebooks - NP550P7C-T05CA. I bought the Samsung SSD 840 PRO. My question is would you recommend I use this drive or would I benefit more buying a SATA 3Gb/s that is for a SATA II and if so which SSD would you recommend. My system has a1TB S-ATAII Hard Drive (5400RPM) with an extra slot for an extra drive.. Other specs are Intel® Core™ i7 Processor 3630QM (2.4 GHz, 6 MB L3 Cache)
Intel HM76. 8 GB DDR3 System Memory at 1600 MHz .This is my first post so I hope I stated things clearly. Thank you for any suggestions

Solution
Use the 840 -- any of the modern SATA 6Gbps SSDs will give you many other speed improvements even on a 3Gbps SATA port than using an old SSD. The only thing that you really lose is the highest sequential transfer rates and those are not nearly as important as random read/writes and IOPS for most users.
