Why sata hard disk was recognized as ide hard disk ?

I installed windows xp my computer .when I restarted my pc ,sata hard disk recognized as ide hard disk

..Where did I go it wrong.Where did I go wrong about installation ?

my motherboard is ga-ma78lm-s2 ..my motherboard supports SATA technology.

I am waiting for answers ( I am sorry for bad english )

Try going into your bios and changing your drive to SATA instead of IDE
