I Replaced a hard drive on my Dell Ispiron M5010 Laptop and did a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit . I installed using the operating system cd and then went back n made sure the hard drive was the first device in the boot order . I noticed since i installed windows 7 a blinking cursor shows up for a few seconds before the windows is starting screen shows up .

I even tried to set the bios to the default settings and i still get it . Is there any way to fix this?

try changing boot device priority to HD. Check the dvd for a disk in it.
Else I don't think it's a big issue.

There's no disk in the dvd drive and the hard drive is the first device in the boot order...Thats what you mean? ...Its more annoying than anything and for a clean install on a new hard drive it seems to take a long time to load windows
