i m thinking of making my very 1st gaming setup. i m on mid range budget of around $700-800 w/o screen. as of now after some research i have chosen the following config:

mobo- MSI Z77A-G45 Gaming($130)
CPU- Intel i5 3570k ($220)
RAM- corsair vengeance 8gb(2x4) ($77)
video card- Asus Nvidia geforce GTX 650Ti boost ($150)
Storage- Seagate baracuda 1TB 7200 rpm ($70)
PSU- corsair 600W($60)
CASE- not decided yet.. maybe of not so popular built.
optical drive- ]ASUS DVD-Writer 24X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 8X DVD+R DL 24X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 24X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM Black SATA Model DRW-24F1ST ($18)
Total -$707 + $50 case = $760

i am doubtful about the mobo as i have heard all sort of bad things about MSI mobos, but as i m a bit tight on budget, i can not go for ASUS or GB. please tell me how is the overall system, if everything is compatible with each other or not. I dont want all this to fall into pieces.
ANY SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME
