However people keep on asking why I was going to get the formula here are my reasons:
1. It's sturdy, manages heat well, multiple options for cooling, great bios and over clocking capabilities.
2. I really like Asus as a company, i believe they make great products and have always been a solid supporter.
3. I need some of the onboard features including the wireless card which i would have to buy anyway.
4. I will be looking to run SLI possibly within the next year period and quad within 3 years I want a mother board this is going to last and be compatible.
5. It looks awesome.
But yeah I'm not sure if its overkill I don't mind forking out extra for a good motherboard as i understand its essentially the spine of your computer and I want mine to last a long time with numerous upgrade opportunities.
Anyway will be great to hear back from you guys
cheers.

Solution
I'd go the Hero, that was my pick after about 20 Haswell builds, and it's been great, also seems to be about the best selling and highest rated Z87 mobo out there, has a 76% 5 EGG rating at NewEgg

Is it possible anybody could create a poll for these boards so I could get a general overview of peoples opinions? I'm not quite sure how to.
I'm just about to buy the components just want to make sure I pick the right motherboard.

One of the reasons I was leaning towards the formula over the hero is because it includes a wireless card which is essential for me as my computer will be too far away to use ethernet. So even if I got the hero I would need to purchase an additional wireless card and I believe that when you add that on, it adds up to only being a few $ different
