Pretty much all of the Acer monitors can be really good quality yet cheap, never opt for samsung and other big brands, because you are paying partly for the name. Take a look at all acer models, they will have one perfect for you

I reckon that DVI is your best option at the moment, HDMI requires more V-sync and is much more taxing of GPU's, trust me I've tried it with some bad results.

HDMI is mainly for movies etc. Depends what you wanna do with your PC too....

But yeah, I would recommend a simple DVI monitor, just as cheap and performs much better in terms of gaming
