Hi

I just switched from Console Gaming to PC Gaming. As it turns out, I was desperate to play Fallout NV for Mods and stuff. I bought the game online but when I tried to install and play it, it said something initializing render or something like that. I know I need a graphics card, but what? I uh, used DirectX for Windows to find my specs or whatever they're called I think? I have a Windows Vista. I think.

I'm tighter than tight when it comes to money right now. So, what's the cheapest possible card I can get? I'm talking CHEAPER than CHEAP! Dirt Market Cheap! And no, I'm talking about like 20$.
I can push my pennies a little. But please, something cheap. Whenever I look a graphics card up, there's thousands and I'm afraid of buying one cause I have no idea what they do...

Please help me. My friend recommended this site so yeah. Thanks.

For modding you're going to want more than just the cheapest GPU out there, 20$ just isn't going to cut it. You should probably wait until you can spend in the 50-60$, any lower and you will have difficulty even running the game. Spending in the 100$ range will get you around max settings + the visual mods, but it would also depend on your CPU.
